Progress on v1.4.0 - automation and consequences
Hey there,
no I did not abandon the project and I am every now and then working on getting 1.4.0 ready.
This will include a lot of automation for the teams which should make the whole map navigation and gameplay much easier and smoother...
...I hope.
At least it's fun when I test it :) so I am positive that this can be the direction the game goes.
Unfortunately just adding AI to the teams leads to a bunch of other stuff in need of change.
For example, I was forgetting about all the loot that would be dropped when killing enemies or that would be necessary to finish quests.
This leads to a rather big AI Manager that hopefully is robust enough to contain future updates *fingerscrossed*
For now, I am almost done with the automation (still missing some minor changes) but this is it so far:
I am thinking about the carrying capacity being endless but instead of a hard cap being an increasing penalty beyond the cap.
This might have to wait until 1.5 then but I probably will remove the capacity cap for the items in the team inventory with 1.4.
This will make the quest ai a bit easier to handle for now and can later be changed if it doesn't feel right.
Cheers
